Anne Arundel county woman dies following golf cart accident, police say

Police say 75-year-old woman died in Thursday afternoon accident.

Anne Arundel County police say a 75-year-old woman died in a golf cart accident Thursday afternoon.

Police said the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Bayside Drive in Annapolis.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was driving a golf cart when she lost control and crashed into a tree.

The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries.

Police said the golf cart was being operated in a private community when the woman crashed.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
