Bucks' Khris Middleton: Remains Out
Status update on the status of Milwaukee Bucks star forward in wake of a knee injury.
The Bucks are currently assessing Middleton's situation and have not given a timeline for his return.
Bucks star forward Khris Middleton will remain out of action as he continues to recover from a knee injury, the team announced Tuesday. Middleton has been sidelined since suffering a hyperextended left knee during the Bucks' Game 2 playoff loss to the Boston Celtics on May 3.
The Bucks said in a statement that Middleton has been undergoing treatment and rehabilitation for the injury and that his status will be updated as appropriate.
Middleton is a key part of the Bucks' success, averaging 20.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game this season. He was also a key contributor to the Bucks' NBA championship run in 2021.
The Bucks are currently in the midst of a playoff series against the Brooklyn Nets. They lead the series 2-0 heading into Game 3 on Thursday.
Middleton's absence is a big blow to the Bucks, but they will hope to have him back in time for the playoffs.
