Mitchell was efficient from the field, shooting 8-of-15, including 3-of-7 from three-point range. He also added 5 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal.

Darius Garland added 19 points for the Cavs, while Jarrett Allen had 18 points and 12 rebounds.

The Hornets were led by LaMelo Ball with 18 points, while Terry Rozier added 17 and Gordon Hayward had 16.

The Cavaliers improved to 15-10 with the win, while the Hornets dropped to 9-16.
