Ducks to Host Hockey Fights Cancer Night Presented by UCI Health Tuesday Night at Honda Center
The Anaheim Ducks will host their annual Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Tuesday, March 28, presented by UCI Health.
The game against the Nashville Predators will raise funds and awareness for the fight against cancer. The Ducks will wear special edition lavender jerseys, which will be auctioned off after the game to benefit the UCI Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Orange County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
Fans attending the game are encouraged to bring a teddy bear to toss onto the ice after the Ducks score their first goal. The bears will be collected and donated to local children's hospitals.
The Ducks have a long history of supporting the fight against cancer. Since 2003, the team has raised more than $5 million for cancer research and support.
Hockey Fights Cancer Night is a special opportunity for the Ducks and their fans to come together and make a difference in the fight against cancer.
In addition to the jersey auction and teddy bear toss, there will be a silent auction featuring Ducks memorabilia and other items. Fans can also purchase Hockey Fights Cancer merchandise, with a portion of the proceeds going to charity.
The Ducks are encouraging fans to purchase their tickets in advance, as the game is expected to be a sellout. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Honda Center box office.
