Suspect Identified as 25-Year-Old John Doe

PORTLAND, Ore. - The FBI has arrested a suspect in connection with a kidnapping and assault that occurred in Portland on March 8, 2023. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old John Doe, was arrested without incident at his home in Portland on March 10, 2023. Doe is accused of kidnapping a 22-year-old woman from a downtown Portland street on March 8, 2023. The woman was allegedly forced into a car and driven to a remote location, where she was assaulted. The victim was able to escape and call 911. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was treated for her injuries. The FBI launched an investigation into the incident and quickly identified Doe as a suspect. He was arrested two days later at his home. Doe is currently being held in the Multnomah County Jail on charges of kidnapping and assault. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 13, 2023.
