Four Stanford players scored in double figures as the Cardinal women's basketball team defeated Yale 93-70 on Sunday afternoon at Maples Pavilion.

Stanford Dominates Inside
Stanford's dominance in the paint was a key factor in the win. The Cardinal scored 42 points in the paint, compared to just 22 for Yale.
Brink was a force inside, scoring 12 of her 22 points in the paint. Jones also did much of her damage inside, scoring 10 of her 18 in the paint.
Yale's Outside Shooting
Yale kept the game close in the first half, thanks in large part to its outside shooting. The Bulldogs hit 8 of their 16 three-point attempts in the first half, including 4 of 6 in the first quarter.
However, Yale's outside shooting cooled off in the second half. The Bulldogs hit just 2 of their 12 three-point attempts in the second half, allowing Stanford to pull away.
Stanford's Defense Tightens Up
Stanford's defense also tightened up in the second half. The Cardinal held Yale to just 29.4% shooting in the second half, including 16.7% from three-point range.
Stanford also forced 10 Yale turnovers in the second half, leading to 13 points for the Cardinal.
