Ikon Pass Adds Four New Resorts

Alterra Mountain Company has announced the addition of four new resorts to the Ikon Pass for the 2023-24 season: Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah, Taos Ski Valley in New Mexico, Snowshoe Mountain Resort in West Virginia, and Pico Mountain in Vermont.

Unveiling Solitude

Solitude Mountain Resort, located in the Big Cottonwood Canyon near Salt Lake City, Utah, offers 1,200 acres of skiable terrain, including 600 acres of bowls and glades. The resort is known for its consistent snowfall, averaging over 500 inches per year, and its stunning views of the Wasatch Mountains.

Discovering Taos

Nestled in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northern New Mexico, Taos Ski Valley boasts 1,294 acres of skiable terrain, renowned for its steep slopes, challenging terrain, and abundant powder. The resort's iconic Kachina Peak offers breathtaking views and serves as a legendary challenge for advanced skiers.

Exploring Snowshoe

Snowshoe Mountain Resort, situated in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia, features 278 acres of skiable terrain, including 52 trails and 19 lifts. The resort's snowmaking capabilities ensure optimal conditions throughout the season, and its family-friendly atmosphere makes it an ideal destination for skiers and snowboarders of all ages.

Introducing Pico

Pico Mountain, located in Killington, Vermont, adds 2,019 acres of skiable terrain to the Ikon Pass. The mountain boasts a wide range of trails for all skill levels, from beginner slopes to challenging black diamonds. Pico's high-altitude terrain offers panoramic views of the Green Mountains and is known for its consistent snowfall and excellent snow conditions. With the addition of these four resorts, the Ikon Pass now offers access to 50 destinations across North America, Europe, and Japan.
