John Krasinski Gets Colbert to Drink 'Potent' Plant Juice to Become Hot
'The Office' Alum Made Colbert Drink the Juice From a Stinkhorn Mushroom
John Krasinski and Stephen Colbert took a page out of Bear Grylls' book on Monday's episode of 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert'.
During a segment called "Krasinski's Weird Wild", the 'A Quiet Place' director guided Colbert through the wildnerness of New York City's Riverside Park, teaching him survival skills like how to make a fire, build a shelter, and forage for food.
Colbert Smells the Flower, Drinks the Juice, Suffers Through the Aftereffects
The most gag-worthy moment came when Krasinski convinced Colbert to smell and drink the juice from a stinkhorn mushroom. Despite Colbert's reluctance and the mushroom's pungent odor, he plunged ahead.
“It smells like gym socks,” Colbert said.
After taking a sip, Colbert jokingly asked if he was going to “trip balls”, to which Krasinski replied, “I don’t know, are you?”
Once they got back to the studio, Colbert began to feel the effects of the mushroom. He described it as a “slight, pleasant high.”
