Khris Middleton Injury: Out Again Wednesday
Middleton Dealing with Soreness
Milwaukee Bucks star forward Khris Middleton will miss Wednesday’s game against the Indiana Pacers due to right knee soreness, the team announced Tuesday.
Middleton has been dealing with the soreness for the past few weeks and sat out the Bucks’ last game against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.
“He’s just a little sore,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “We’re just going to be cautious with him.”
Bucks Struggling Without Middleton
The Bucks are 2-2 in the four games Middleton has missed this season.
Middleton is averaging 18.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game this season.
He is a key part of the Bucks’ offense and his absence has been felt.
The Bucks will need Middleton to return to the lineup soon if they want to make a deep playoff run.
“We need him,” Budenholzer said. “He’s a big part of what we do.”
Bucks Hopeful for Return Soon
The Bucks are hopeful Middleton will be able to return to the lineup soon.
“We’re day-to-day with him,” Budenholzer said. “We’ll see how he feels tomorrow and see if he can go.”
The Bucks will play the Pacers on Wednesday before a four-game road trip.
If Middleton is unable to play on Wednesday, he could miss the entire road trip.
The Bucks would be a major blow to the Bucks’ hopes of making a deep playoff run.
