Lenox gets ready for state semifinal match

The Lenox Tigers will play in the Class 1A state football semifinals on Friday night at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. Lenox will face off against top-ranked Van Meter at 4:05 p.m. on FM 99.1.

The Tigers are 11-1 this season, while Van Meter is 12-0. Lenox advanced to the semifinals with a 27-14 win over Grundy Center last week, while Van Meter beat West Branch 42-14.

The winner of Friday's game will advance to the Class 1A state championship game on Friday, November 18th, at the UNI-Dome.

Other KMAland teams in action on Friday

In addition to Lenox, several other KMAland teams are in action on Friday night.

In Class 2A, Harlan will host Davenport Assumption at 7:00 p.m. Harlan is 10-1 this season, while Assumption is 9-2.

In Class 3A, Lewis Central will host Pella at 7:00 p.m. Lewis Central is 10-1 this season, while Pella is 9-2.

In Class 4A, Southeast Polk will host Cedar Rapids Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. Southeast Polk is 11-0 this season, while Kennedy is 9-2.

And in Class 5A, Ankeny Centennial will host Waukee at 7:00 p.m. Ankeny Centennial is 10-1 this season, while Waukee is 9-2.
