Mason Mount on his dream come true moment
Chelsea starlet reflects on his remarkable rise to the first-team
The 20-year-old has established himself as a key player for the Blues this season
Mason Mount has described his rise to the Chelsea first-team as a "dream come true".
The 20-year-old has been one of the standout performers for the Blues this season, making 20 appearances in all competitions.
Mount has also scored four goals, including a stunning solo effort in the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace in October.
"It's been a whirlwind few months," Mount told the Chelsea website.
"I'm just trying to take it all in and enjoy every moment.
"This was beyond my wildest dreams playing as much as I have for Chelsea."
Mount's rise to the first-team has been meteoric.
He only made his debut for Chelsea in the Carabao Cup last season.
But he has quickly established himself as a key player under Frank Lampard.
"I'm really grateful for the opportunity that Frank has given me," Mount said.
"He's a great manager and I'm learning a lot from him.
"I just want to keep improving and helping the team win."
