OU women's basketball: Raegan Beers named SEC Player of the Week

Raegan Beers of the Oklahoma women's basketball team was named SEC Player of the Week on Monday, the league office announced. This is the first time in her career that Beers has earned the weekly honor.
Beers helped lead the Sooners to a 2-0 record last week with wins over Texas A&M and Missouri. She averaged 23.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 3.5 steals and 2.5 blocks per game.
In the win over Texas A&M, Beers scored a career-high 30 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field. She also grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out six assists, had three steals and two blocks.
Against Missouri, Beers recorded her second double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds. She also had five assists, four steals and three blocks.
Beers is currently ranked among the top 10 in the SEC in scoring (12th), rebounding (5th), assists (4th), steals (2nd) and blocks (5th).
The Sooners are now 12-3 overall and 2-1 in the SEC. They will return to action on Thursday, Jan. 12 when they host LSU at the Lloyd Noble Center.
