Szoke Named MAC Swimmer of the Week

Sophomore Sprinter earns weekly conference honor after leading the Flyers to a 1-1 record

Szoke earned the first weekly honor of her career after helping Dayton defeat IUPUI (186-114) and fall to Cincinnati (222.50-77.50) last weekend.

The sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio claimed the top spot in the 100-yard butterfly (57.55) against IUPUI, which was within one second of her personal best.

Szoke also finished second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.11) and third in the 50-yard freestyle (25.37) while competing in Cincinnati.

The Flyers will return to the pool on Saturday, January 28 when they host Xavier for Senior Day. The meet begins at 1 p.m. inside the Frericks Center Pool.
