Tennessee Football: Vols Beat Montana 34-13, Improve to 2-0
Vols Showed Grit In 2nd Half Vs. Montana
Tennessee football came out victorious over Montana, 34-13, Saturday afternoon in Neyland Stadium, improving to 2-0 on the young season.
The Vols struggled in the first half, trailing 13-7 at halftime, but they came out firing in the second half, outscoring the Grizzlies 27-0.
Quarterback Hendon Hooker led the way for Tennessee, completing 21-of-28 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns.
Running back Jabari Small also had a big day, rushing for 76 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.
Defensively, the Vols were led by linebacker Jeremy Banks, who had 10 tackles, including two tackles for loss.
The win is a big one for Tennessee, who are now 2-0 for the first time since 2019.
The Vols will look to stay undefeated next week when they travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Panthers.
