Troy's Jackson Fields Earns Sun Belt Player of the Week
Troy Trojans Outfielder Jackson Fields Receives Conference Honor
Troy University baseball has been one of the most consistent programs in the Sun Belt Conference in recent seasons with two NCAA tournament appearances in the past three years.
Troy is off to another strong start this season and one of the key reasons again is the play of junior outfielder Jackson Fields. Fields has developed into one of the top all-around players in the conference.
He leads the team in average (.367), doubles, and stolen bases.
His .442 on-base percentage and .605 slugging percentage are also among the best on the team.
Fields is also a solid fielder. He has started all 54 games in center field and has committed just two errors.
His reliability makes him one of the best defensive outfielders in the league.
Fields has a knack for coming up with big hits in big moments.
He has driven in five runs in the final two innings of one-run games.
He is also tied for the team lead with eight stolen bases.
Fields has been a key part of Troy's success this season.
He is one of the most well-rounded players in the Sun Belt and is a big reason why the Trojans are once again in the hunt for a conference championship.
