UConn Huskies Rout Le Moyne Dolphins 90-49 in Non-Conference Play
Huskies Dominate from Start to Finish
STORRS, Conn. (AP) - The No. 3 UConn Huskies extended their winning streak to seven games with a resounding 90-49 non-conference victory over the Le Moyne Dolphins on Tuesday night at Gampel Pavilion.
The Huskies jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, leading by 20 points at halftime and stretching their advantage to 41 by the final buzzer.
Balanced Scoring Attack Leads UConn
UConn's offense was firing on all cylinders, with five players scoring in double figures. Freshman sensation Azzi Fudd led the way with 21 points, followed by Caroline Ducharme with 16, Lou Lopez Sénéchal with 15, Dorka Juhász with 12, and Aubrey Griffin with 10.
The Huskies shot an impressive 52.4% from the field, including 40% from three-point range.
Dolphins Struggle to Keep Pace
Le Moyne, playing without injured leading scorer Emma Brinker, had no answer for UConn's offensive onslaught. The Dolphins shot just 31.7% from the field and committed 20 turnovers.
Sophomore guard Andrea Dudzinski led Le Moyne with 14 points, while freshman forward Hannah Stigliano added 10.
UConn Extends NCAA Win Streak
With the victory, UConn extended its NCAA Division I women's basketball record winning streak to 141 games.
The Huskies will next face the No. 1 South Carolina Gamecocks on Sunday in their toughest test of the season.
