Men's Hoops Defeats Seattle Pacific 77-62
Dawgs Win Season Tip-Off Game
The University of Washington men's basketball team opened its season with a 77-62 win over Seattle Pacific University on Monday night at Alaska Airlines Arena.
The Huskies were led by Keion Brooks Jr., who had 19 points and 7 rebounds. Braxton Meah added 15 points, while Koren Johnson had 11 points and 3 assists.
The Huskies shot 46.7% from the field and 38.5% from three-point range. They also outrebounded the Falcons 37-28.
Seattle Pacific was led by Emeka Udenyi, who had 17 points and 8 rebounds. Aaron White added 12 points, while Colby Blaine had 10 points.
The Huskies will next host Eastern Washington University on Friday night at Alaska Airlines Arena.
