Virat Kohli and I Have Spoken About 2016 IPL Final: KL Rahul

Rahul Recalls Furious Kohli After RCB's Loss

KL Rahul has revealed that he and Virat Kohli have discussed the 2016 Indian Premier League (IPL) final, a match that saw Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lose to Rahul's then-team, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Rahul, who was adjudged the Player of the Match in the final, said that he and Kohli had a chat about the game during last year's IPL.

"We spoke about the 2016 final last year during the IPL," Rahul said. "He (Kohli) was furious after the loss. He told me that he couldn't believe that we had won the game."

SRH's Unlikely Triumph

SRH's victory in the 2016 IPL final was a major upset. The team had finished seventh in the league stage and had only qualified for the playoffs after winning a thrilling eliminator against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

In the final, SRH chased down RCB's total of 208 with eight balls to spare. Rahul played a key role in the victory, scoring 39 runs off 35 balls and taking two wickets.

Kohli, on the other hand, had a disappointing game. He was dismissed for just five runs and failed to take a wicket.

Kohli's Fiery Temper

Kohli is known for his fiery temper, and he has often been criticized for his aggressive behavior on the field.

However, Rahul said that Kohli's anger was justified after the 2016 IPL final.

"He (Kohli) was very angry after the game," Rahul said. "He felt that we had let him down. But I told him that we had played our best and that we had deserved to win."

Kohli and Rahul's Relationship

Despite the 2016 IPL final, Kohli and Rahul have a good relationship.

Rahul said that he respects Kohli's passion for the game and that he is always eager to learn from him.

"Virat is a great player and a great leader," Rahul said. "I have always admired his passion for the game. He is always willing to help others and he is always looking to improve.
