Wright State’s basketball team to play Toledo in exhibition game at Savage Arena

The Wright State Raiders men's basketball team will host the Toledo Rockets men's basketball team in an exhibition game at Savage Arena on November 1, 2023.

The game will be the first meeting between the two schools since December 18, 2019, when Wright State won 74-64 in Toledo.

The Raiders are coming off a 22-14 season in which they finished third in the Horizon League and advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament. The Rockets finished 21-13 last season and placed second in the Mid-American Conference West Division.

The game will be a good early test for both teams. Wright State is looking to build on last season's success, while Toledo is looking to bounce back from a disappointing finish to the 2022-23 campaign.

The game will also be a homecoming for Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk, who was an assistant coach at Wright State from 1994 to 1999.
