Wright State Raiders' Triumph Boosts Morale Before Crucial Toledo Rockets Encounter

Wright State University's men's basketball team secured their first victory of the 2023-2024 season with a 75-63 victory over the Miami University RedHawks on Tuesday, November 15th, at the Nutter Center in Fairborn, Ohio.

The Raiders faced an early deficit in the first half but battled back to tie the score at 32-32 by halftime. In the second half, Wright State took control, leading by as many as 14 points, and ultimately secured a 75-63 victory.

Sophomore guard Trey Calvin led the Raiders with 20 points, followed by senior forward Grant Basile with 18 points and nine rebounds. Junior guard Bryce Moore also contributed 15 points.

Victory Bolsters Wright State's Confidence

This victory boosted Wright State's confidence, particularly before a challenging matchup against the Toledo Rockets on Saturday, November 19th, at the Savage Arena in Toledo, Ohio.

The Rockets are a formidable opponent, having finished the 2022-2023 season with a 25-9 record. They were also picked to win the Mid-American Conference (MAC) in the preseason poll.
