LaVine's Statement Before Knicks-Bulls

Bulls guard Zach LaVine spoke to the media before the Knicks-Bulls game on Friday night. Here is what he had to say:

“I’m excited to be a Knick. This is a great opportunity for me to play for a winning team and compete for a championship. I’m looking forward to playing with Julius Randle, Jalen Brunson, and the rest of the guys. I think we have a great chance to do something special this season.”

LaVine was traded to the Knicks from the Bulls on Thursday in a deal that sent Donovan Mitchell to Chicago. LaVine is a three-time All-Star and has averaged over 20 points per game in each of the last five seasons.

The Knicks are hoping that LaVine can help them take the next step and contend for a championship. The Knicks have not won a championship since 1973.

LaVine is a dynamic scorer who can create his own shot and knock down shots from anywhere on the court. He is also a good passer and rebounder.
