Zoo Tampa Welcomes New Orangutan and Anteater
Meet Bulan and Falabella!
Zoo Tampa is thrilled to announce the arrival of two new furry friends: Bulan, a 2-year-old Bornean orangutan, and Falabella, a 3-year-old giant anteater.
Bulan the Orangutan
Bulan, named after the Indonesian word for "moon," was born at the Houston Zoo in Texas but spent the first two years of her life at the Oklahoma City Zoo.
She is known for her playful and curious nature and has quickly become a favorite among the zookeepers.
Falabella the Anteater
Falabella, named after the tiny horse breed, is the first giant anteater to call Zoo Tampa home.
Hailing from Brazil, Falabella is known for her long, bushy tail and powerful claws, which she uses to dig up ants and termites.
