Unbeaten NC State Basketball Squad Sneaks Into Top 45

Wolfpack is up to 45th in Monday’s AP Poll

Following a victory against the University of Pittsburgh, the NC State basketball team moved up six spots to No. 45 in the Associated Press Top 25. The Wolfpack are now receiving 70 points and are one of four teams in the ACC to appear in the latest poll. NC State is also one of three ACC teams to start the season with three wins.

NC State’s NCAA Tournament Resume

NC State has gotten off to a good start to the season and appears to be a contender to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time since the 2006-07 season. The latest NCAA Net rankings have NC State at No. 29. The Wolfpack also have a solid record against Quad 1 and 2 opponents. NC State is 2-1 against Quad 1 teams and 2-0 against Quad 2 teams.

NC State’s Schedule

NC State has a challenging schedule remaining and will need to continue to win games in order to make the NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack have three more games against ranked opponents, including a home game against No. 1 North Carolina. NC State will also play a neutral-site game against No. 11 Creighton in December.
