Miami University Defeats Ohio University in Swim and Dive Competition
Ohio Struggles on the Road
Ohio University's swim and dive team faced a tough loss to Miami University on the road this past weekend. Despite a strong effort, the Bobcats were unable to overcome the RedHawks, falling by a score of 163-137.
The Bobcats had several strong performances throughout the meet, including a first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. However, Miami proved to be too strong on the day, winning 10 of the 16 events.
Individual Standouts
Despite the team's loss, several Ohio swimmers and divers had notable performances.
- Jillian Hirons won the 100-yard backstroke and placed second in the 200-yard backstroke.
- Lauren Cole won the 1-meter diving event and placed second in the 3-meter diving event.
- Anna Luca placed second in the 100-yard freestyle and third in the 200-yard freestyle.
- Gracee Slocumb placed third in the 100-yard butterfly.
Looking Ahead
The Bobcats will look to bounce back next weekend when they host Bowling Green State University at the Ohio University Aquatic Center. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET.
